Sarah Weldon is a Registered Osteopath, who divides her time between treating horses and people. As well as juggling a hectic work schedule, Sarah also teaches anatomy, physiology & pathology & has recently published a paper on stretching for injury.
Prior to training as an Osteopath, Sarah worked as a three-day event groom for two of the top American and Canadian event riders, travelling to many international competitions. After several years on the event circuit, Sarah returned to the UK to study Osteopathy. After graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1998, Sarah completed a post-graduate course in Animal Osteopathy. Since qualifying, Sarah has continued to pursue her passion for eventing, travelling to the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and the World Equestrian Games in 2002 with a Canadian Three-Day Event rider, as osteopath for both horse and rider. Sarah currently works three days a week in a private practice in North London, devoting the rest of the week to her equine clientele. Sarah completes numerous hours of postgraduate education in equine treatment techniques every year. It was this constant quest to improve her knowledge and enhance her treatment that led her to Equinology. Sarah currently resides in South West London, with her partner Meirion, a sports massage practitioner.
